Reflection on Holiday Greeting Video

In looking back, and thinking about what my partner and I did a good job on is the our conversation is, it is informative and it sound like we are really talking to eachother. We really did a great job with the pictures that we picked out, and our music.

What I saw in other videos that  i thought was really cool was the sound effects. I really l;iked this because it seemed very realistic, and believable that our classmates were really there.

I focused on the editing, and part of the script. I tried to perfect the editing to the best of my ability, but because the performances on the script were a little sloppy because it was our first time with a script, it was challenging to edit.

I helped my partner by explaing to her certain staeps we had to do, or if she didnt know how to do something, I told her how to do it. Alexis helped me out by coming in after school to finish our video when i couldn't come in to do it.

If i could change anything it would be the fact that i'm invisible, the editing should be more smooth.

Holidays!

Cyberbulling Reflection

I think that my group and I have done a good job, but there are some things we need to work on. When went through our video with Dr. A, we noticed on some of the interviews there was trees coming out of people's heads, we needed to add bullet points, some copyright isssues, and some pictures may have been too strong.
When  I read the comments, I noticed people thought that our video was serious, and help them realize that cyberbulling shouldn't be taken lightly, so that helped to give us reassurance that we are doing a good job on staying on track. On one comment inpaticular I really appreciate how they suggested that we should add more information on sexting, though i do not agree with it because our video is not about sexting, it is about cyberbulling.

Title's Reflection

The first video is an example of  a before the clip title, which means you might use this kind of title to introduce someone, or something. It tells the veiwer what the main topic or subject of the video is.

The second video is an example of a lower third title, which means you might use this kind of title when one might be interveiwing, and the person wants to show what the interview is about.

The third video is an example of a seperate still title, which means you might use this kind of title to keep consistency throughout the whole clip.

lifting and extracting workshop

A simple cut in the timeline means that there will be a gap where the clip once was inserted. When you cut the other clips in the timeline it doesnt really flow nicely together. A ripple edit is when you delete a clip and you shift the remaining clips over to fill in the space. Lifting and extracting are two ways of deleting a clip at a time.

I am happy with the way I edited. I think that I am getting better at memorizing how to work the program. On my next project I would like to become more independent and need so much help. My partner helped me with a lot because I wasn't sure of a few things.

reflection

Creating the video was very challenging for me. There was so many steps to follow, and if the wrong button was pushed then everything would get chaotic. I am by far very slow when it comes to learning about computers. what i liked about the whole experience, is that it actually helped me to understamd technology a little more.
